Website launch : UK2You.com everything you want from the UK sourced from British shops offering international delivery

The UK2You website has launched officially today.  UK2You has brought together UK retailers which specifically offer overseas delivery options.  Retailers have been listed in one comprehensive Shopping Directory on the website.  Visitors to UK2You.com know that their purchases can be sent safely to where they are in Western Europe and, in many case, worldwide.

UK2You.com is a freely accessible website for British “expats” and other overseas and UK based shoppers.  Visitors to the site will find over 100 carefully researched UK retailers across fifteen departments offering gadgets & gifts, health & beauty, books & music, clothing & accessories, sweets & treats, and much more.  The Directory lists retailers from famous UK High Street names along with some specially selected independent retailers who it is felt will be of interest to those living away from the UK.

The idea for the business came to mind when the website creators moved to the Algarve in Portugal some years ago. Said the joint-founder, Chris Trodd, “the need for items such as drain rods, bed linen, Christmas presents, school uniform, musical instruments and so on to be sent from the UK to the Algarve prompted the beginnings of UK2You; we found better choice, value and availability for the items we were looking for in the UK but just needed to find companies that would deliver from the UK.”  Of course the world wide web is full of shopping sites and indeed “expat” sites but UK2You fills a gap in that it will only list businesses that offer overseas delivery.  The philosophy behind the website is to help online shoppers avoid being disappointed and annoyed when they get to the online checkout and find the retailer doesn’t deliver overseas.  

UK2You provides the website as a service with regular updates about “what’s new” and “what’s of interest”.  The site highlights offers, products and retailers that it is felt will be of interest to visitors to the UK2You website; specifically concentrating on saving money on everyday items, seasonal items and obtaining items that are hard to track down overseas plus those items which are specifically “British”.  Visitors to the site can sign up to receive a regular newsletter so can be the first to know about what is new and interesting.

With retailers on the website offering excellent overseas delivery terms – and some even offering free international delivery – the smart shopper will keep returning to UK2You as the site grows with more shops and services in the Shopping Directory.
